What is a hygienist?

Looking after our teeth and gums, a hygienist can provide some great advice to help you look after your teeth at home. People will often visit the hygienist to have their teeth cleaned regularly which helps prevent gum disease and the need for further treatment.

Working together as part of a team, your dentist and hygienist will provide treatment plans tailored to you.

A hygienist will not only help remove any plaque that has begun to form on your teeth but also provide dietary advice to help maintain healthy teeth and gums. We aim to provide a flexible service and appointments to see our hygienists can be arranged on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings .
